Daniel Giacin
Autism Programming Director
Hi, my name is Daniel, and I am the Autism Programming Director here at the OCYMCA. I have worked with children on the autism spectrum for the past 11 years, in various capacities. Currently, I am a Registered Behavior Technician and I plan to pursue a Board Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA).
Over a period of 7 years of working with autistic children while living in Oregon, I founded a program called Swimming on the Spectrum, an ABA inspired adaptive water safety and swim program. I am excited to bring this program here to NJ, and to build other programs dedicated to individuals on the autism spectrum.
I love what I do! The best part of my job is seeing my students achieve their goals. It may take them time and a lot of effort, but it is incredibly rewarding.
